About
Petrikor is a contemporary dance platform founded by Uruguayan choreographer Bettina Szabo, now based in Montreal and Paris. Driven by activism and empathy, Bettina’s creations blend somatic research, emotion-driven movement, and interdisciplinary storytelling.

Her works often explore femininity, identity, and the fragility of nature, inviting audiences into poetic, often surreal, worlds that provoke reflection and connection.
The Journey
Bettina’s ‘moving subconscious’ method combines subconscious exploration with formal dance technique, producing uniquely raw, embodied performances. Her award-winning works like ‘Habitat’, ‘Garcia’, and ‘Denise’ have been showcased in Geneva, Bilbao, Toronto, and Lyon. Bettina is known for collaborating with female-identifying artists and incorporating original music, costume, and multimedia into her choreographic process.
